I’m Sherece, a graphic designer based in Edmonton, Alberta. I completed my design studies at MacEwan University in 2013, and in the years since I’ve acquired both in-house and agency experience in Canada and abroad.
Some of my career highlights include winning 2 Advertising Club of Edmonton (ACE) Awards for the APPI Planner’s Guide to Edmonton book set, completing my first mural in 2019, and speaking on graphic design at the NASH86 Student Journalism Conference in February of 2024. But I’m most proud of the junior designers I’ve mentored over the years — I love seeing others grow and build confidence in their skills.
With a passion for teaching, it was only a matter of time before I found myself back at MacEwan, this time at the front of the classroom. As a sessional instructor at MacEwan University I teach a number of classes, with a focus on software skills and typography. I also find time to freelance, so if you’ve got a project in need of design, reach out! Let’s chat about how I can help.
When I’m not teaching or designing, I can be found exploring one of Edmonton’s many festivals, building yet another niche Spotify playlist, or wandering a thrift store for more coloured glass to add to my growing collection.
